When the products under development today at Flight Safety Technologies are fully tested and integrated into the national airspace system , the average air traveler will probably give them little notice. And yet, airports, airlines and passengers will all benefit from the cost, time and environmental advantages these products bring to the airline industry.
The proprietary technologies and products being developed by Flight Safety Technologies, with support from our strategic partners, could significantly enhance the safety and efficiency of air travel in the United States and abroad.
The primary technologies we are developing include
- AWSM™, a system designed to allow air traffic controllers to safely reduce the separation between aircraft
SOCRATESR, a sensor to detect and track aircraft wake vortices
- UNICORN™, a radar and information display to provide pilots with early warning of potential mid-air collisions
- TIICM™, a countermeasure to protect aircraft from the terrorist threat of shoulder-fired missiles
